ABOUT US

We are a rustic pizza shop & tavern in the heart of Vermont featuring old-world hand tossed pizza, with a new-world local twist. We begin with fresh dough, bread and sauces made by hand, every day. We add the best ingredients we can find and prepare many unique toppings from scratch to create a new kind of pizza.

As the seasons change, so will we. In addition to offering the best classic pizza around, we’ll be working with whatever’s fresh, local and in season to create new farm-inspired variations on what pizza used to be.

The Blue Stone story began with our love of exceptional pizza, rustic simple food and great beer. Since we couldn’t find a place where we could go for all three, we decided to build one.

Our namesake rock “The Blue Stone” is a vintage well stone we resurrected from a circa-1770s farm house near Rutland, VT. 

This relic lives on in our Waterbury, VT pizza shop & tavern as our community bar table, the ideal spot to grab a pie and a beer.
